Body oils are part of daily body care regime for ages. These oils are in use even before the advent of any body care creams or lotions. Body oil when massaged on body does wonders for skin and also make a good exercise for body. One of the most striking features about oils is that they are free from any chemical. They are completely herbal. Body oils are safe for the skin.

Oil seeps into the upper layers of epidermis and protects the skin from drying by capturing the moisture. Most of the natural oils obtained from herbs are used to treat various skin problems, nourish and revitalize the skin.

Body oils are easy to apply because of their viscosity and they get easily spread over the body. Another thing is that body oils are cheaper than various body lotions and body-care creams. You can apply and massage body oil before bath daily. It will smoothen the skin and removes the dead cells of skin. For moisturizing purpose you can apply it just after taking a hot bath and wash away extra oil. There is no need of massage; only application is enough. It will prevent your skin from drying, especially in winters.
There are many essential oils in use commonly like coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, tea tree oil and sesame oil. Herbal Body oils are prepared from vegetable oils mixed with nutrients, extracts from herbs, which are biostimulants and anti-oxidants as it gives very effective results. Natural oils do not contain any artificial scent, color or stimulant. They are full of nutrients and minerals needed for skin.

Use of essential oils for body is known as aromatherapy, which is an age-old practice. When you use essential oils, which are extracts from refreshing and fragrant plant, you will feel an uplifting effect in body and mind. The application of aroma oils brings out total relaxation in the mind, body and spirit. It creates feeling of confidence and receptivity. According to the results you want to achieve on your body, there are many ways to apply body oils.

Massage with body oils can be done for treating many health conditions such as stress, joint pains, menopause, headache, insomnia, nausea, relaxation, sinusitis, sprains, arthritis, restlessness etc.
Uses of Different kinds of Body oils
There are different oils for each part of body or you can use same oil for whole body also.
- Sesame Oil and mustard oil are very good for whole body. Though mustard oil is used in winters especially because of it warm effect but sesame oil can be used for whole year, as it is light in texture.
- Hands tend to dry more because of use of various soaps we use. For this you can use a mixture of almond oil and olive oil every night.
- Our face has the most sensitive and most vulnerable skin, so we should use oil according to skin type. Jojoba oil is perfect for dry and normal skin types. For people having oily skin, oils from peppermint, camphor, cypress and clove can be used. If you have extremely sensitive skin, olive oil is the safest choice for moisturizing.
- Use of oil on hair is the most common application of oil. You can choose oil according to the kind of hair you carry. Coconut oil is the most popular and shows best results for the normal hair. For the people with dry hair, mustard oil should be used. For the oily hair types, a blend of various oils like aroma oil and vegetable oils should be applied. To make the hair shiny, glossy and bouncy, you can use almond oil, emu oil and aloe Vera oil.
- For reducing the under eye dark circle, almond oil should be massaged gently in circles under the eye. Almond oil contains the vitamin E, which is an important vitamin for the skin.
- To prevent and reduce the cracks in heels, you can use essential oils.
