Shaping the perfect Eyebrow Arc
Eyebrow is a feature on face, which conveys the feelings of the person. Eyes are the first feature on face to attract others. Eyebrows are just like a beautiful frame of eyes. Shape of the brows play major role in defining a persons personality. Eyes with poor eyebrow shape leave unwanted expressions. An eyebrow is arched at middle. How you get it arched is of great importance. There are many arching techniques, which you can use to arc the brow. You can get curvy look to get that extra dash of style on your face.
Arching techniques for defining Eyebrow Arc
Shape of eyebrow should match your facial features. By getting it right, you get young look and eyes get lifted to have firm look. There are different techniques available, choose the one according to your habit, time, patience and experience for shaping of eyebrows.
1. Simply to get the eyebrow arched, with the help of spiral hairbrush, you can comb the brow in upward direction. It should be combed away from hairline. You can draw strokes with brow pencil to fill colors in brows. Color of pencil should match the color of your brows.
2. Trim Eyebrows: If your brows are bushy, you can use little comb and sharp point scissors to trim away any extra length. Just comb the brows up and trim any extra length beyond natural hairline. Now comb the hair downward and trim in the same way. In this technique, you do not remove the hair from its base.
3. Tweezing: For tweezing, you will require, a pair of good tweezers, white pencil and brow brush. To make it less painful, tweeze just after a shower. Use a white pencil to mark the desired shape.
a. Start of Eyebrow Arc: Place a pencil from side of nose, starting from middle of mouth to the tear-duct. This is the point where eyebrow arc starts. Tweeze away extra hair beyond that point.
b. Point of Arc: Now diagonally, place the pencil, passing through mid-mouth, nostril, outside the iris of eye. This is the point of arc. Tweeze very gently from this point to start of eyebrow.
c. End of Arch: Place pencil diagonally across nostril, middle of mouth to the other corner of eye. Tweeze away hair beyond this point.
4. Threading and Waxing: If you choose to threading or waxing of eyebrows, go to an expert. This is a fast method to create a new shape but needs expertise and patience. If you choose waxing, wax only that hair which is not needed as hair between brows and on the temples.
5. Use of Eyebrow Stencil: This technique makes use of pre-waxed strips. These are already cut into shapes. To use them put on the desired area of brow and allow them to set. Now remove it with a sudden jerk. Out of the large variety of shapes available, select the one, which suits your style.
Tips for getting right Eyebrow Arc
Best time to tweeze is just after a bath as it is least painful to pull out hair because of open pores.
- Make sure that there is symmetry between the both brows. It will prevent disproportionate and skewed appearance.
- Just do not over tweeze as thinning of eyebrows make it unattractive. To give perfect eyebrow arc, it is must to determine start, arc and the end of eyebrow.
- Tweeze along the eyebrow bone, which is the natural shape of the eyebrow arch.
- Avoid sharp angles of arch; keep it curved in gentle way to give it natural look.
- Remove hair in one line at a time and analyze the shape. This will avoid thinning of arch.
- Do not tweeze above the eyebrow, as it will flatten the arch shape. Your arc will not have high point curve. A perfect arc can be obtained by tweezing underneath the brow, not above it.
Getting eyebrow Arc with Eyebrow Makeup: If you want correct the shape of eyebrow quickly or you have over-shaped eyebrows, go for an eyebrow makeup. You can create an illusion of eyebrow hair by drawing them with the help of eyebrow pencil, powder, gel or eyebrow shadow. Select the color, which matches the natural color of the shadow. If eyebrows are severely damaged, you can apply fake eyebrows also to give the shaped look.
