- Stencil Sets: This type of stencil carries 3-4 variations of same eyebrow shape in a package. They all are similar but provide slight variations. Same person can use all of these stencils at different occasions as they offer slight modifications in the looks and do not give strong changes.
- Celebrity-Inspired Eyebrow Stencils: These eyebrow stencils are based on the eyebrow shapes of professionals of showbiz. Though, using those stencils, you cannot achieve the same look as that of those professionals, still you can get that shape of eyebrow.
- Plastic Eyebrow Stencils: These eyebrow stencils are prepared from the strong yet soft, flexible plastic. This can be used repeatedly to get same results. Make sure that stencils are thin enough for a comfortable use. Protect them from getting dirty and any bacterial growth, which can cause infection. For this, wash it properly before and after the use.
- Printable Online Stencils: You can get the eyebrow stencil printed from many makeup and beauty websites offering it, for one time use. These one time use stencils are very useful if you want to try out new shape before purchasing a stencil from market. One thing that should be taken care of while printing these stencils, do not change the size or other proportions of the stencil otherwise it will not give the desired look.
- Pre-Waxed Eyebrow Stencils: This eyebrow stencils work in dual way; one, as an eyebrow stencil and other, as a waxing strip. When applied to the eyebrow, it will work as a waxing strip also, removing hair from brow. It can be used at brows with similar shape for touch ups.
How to Use Eyebrow Stencils:
To get the best results, you should use the stencil properly.
- For a natural look, according to your face, select an eyebrow stencil having shape, quite close to shape of your natural brow like same curve, length and arc.
- Prepare the eyebrow before applying the stencil. First clean the eyebrow and groom it. If you have long strands in eyebrows, trim them and brush the eyebrow in direction of growth of hair.
- Apply eyebrow stencil properly according to the shape of natural eyebrow, finding its beginning and ending. Firmly hold the stencil at that position.
- Now using a brow pencil, mark the shape of eyebrow through stencil. For a thin shaped stencil, fill the brow completely. If you are using pre-waxed stencil, you need not follow this step.
- Remove the eyebrow stencil, taking care that not to distort the sketched outline of eyebrow.
- Once you get the outline marked, remove hair outside that outline, using any technique for hair removing like plucking, waxing, tweezing etc.
- If you are not satisfied with the result, you can reapply it.
- If you have over-plucked or thin eyebrows, then just apply the stencil on eyebrow. Now fill the empty portion of stencil with brow pencil or eye shadow. For getting natural look, avoid shimmer products; use a color matching color of your brow.
- To hold the eyebrow shape for whole day, apply brow gel.
- Apply a tweeze cream after tweezing, to soothe and cool off irritated areas.
