Hair Laser Removal: Safe Technique to remove Hair

Hair laser removal is one of the popular cosmetic techniques for getting hair removed. This technique is in use for many years. Laser hair removal can be used to remove any unwanted hairs, which require shaving or waxing. This technique uses visible light laser to remove the unwanted hairs very smoothly. Laser hair removal can be used to remove hairs from any part of body except hairs next to the eyes. As Laser treats removes more than one hair at a time, it used to remove hair from larger areas like back, arms, legs, shoulders.

Process of hair laser removal:

Laser energy is used to remove the hair for long term. The laser produces heat in the hair. This heat energy goes into the hair follicle; as a result, it generates inflammation. Due to this inflammation, hair follicle gets the signal to go into resting phase.

A laser is light of single color or wavelength. Pulses of high-energy light are directed to the desired target. To get the hair removed, desired target is the hair pigment melanin, stored within the hair shaft. Length of laser beam should be such that it can heat the hair but heat should not affect the surrounding skin. It is difficult for a laser light to differentiate between hair and dark skin. According to the thickness of hair and color of skin, there are three important kinds of laser hair removal.

•    Alexandrite
