Concealers are fast, effective tools for disguising blemishes, shadows scars and red veins. Concealers pick up where foundations leave off and their ultra-dense textures are applied selectively to blot out blemishes.

Concealer are used with sponge applicators and ideal for dabbing over spots and large freckles, or lentigenes - sun induced “age spots”.

Concealers come in shades to compare every skin tone. These abates the presence op pimples, marks and dark circles under the eyes. The facial skin, concealers are erstwhile the only cosmetic which many women prefer to use along with powder for daily purposes.

Right way to Apply Concealer

Dark shadows: Before choosing a concealer, test it over your foundation. If you can’t see it, that’s the right shade. For a natural look, apply foundation first and then top it up on the inner half of the under eye. If you have fine lines just emerging, you won’t be adding weight to the outer half and showing off more than you should hide.

Use a brush for a real natural look - besides, it gives that much more control than your fingers. Your finger will yield less pressure on your fine skin. Top up with a bit of eye cream if it looks too heavy.

A concealer with a high pigment level and having mineral oil as its contents is best for masquerading purposes as it covers the spot better and stays on the top of the face for more time. It is best to monitor whether a concealer matches your skin or not in sunlight for correct estimations.

Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your foundation (and only in extreme cases should you use a concealer two shades lighter).

Using a concealer that is too light or too pink will give the appearance of ‘owl eyes’. In other words, it will emphasize the dark area instead of concealing it.

Always apply your concealer on top of foundation and before you add powder. If you try to do things the other way round, you might wipe the concealer off when applying your foundation. To disguise under-eye darkness, gently pat concealer under the eyes using the index finger. Exert only gentle pressure and blend outwards, taking care not to drag the skin.

To conceal bags under the eyes, put concealer on the shadow beneath the bag, not on the bag itself, otherwise you’ll end up highlighting rather than hiding the problem. To cover up broken capillaries or uneven skin tone, you can either massage concealer into the skin or paint it on with a brush and blend with the fingertips. To touch out any blemishes or unsightly-looking spots, paint on concealer with a brush.
