Facial Exercises to Look Younger

Facial exercises keep the facial muscles and skin tight so that there are no wrinkles. Facial toning exercises is the safest method of preventing those wrinkles. There are other processes such as facials and facelifts and plastic surgery. But the biggest disadvantage of using these methods is that anti-aging happens only as long as one is ready to pay for follow-up sessions and take utmost care.

Facial exercises boost blood circulation to the head, and increase oxygen to the face, which can assist in eliminating toxins. The technique can be done anywhere and simply requires the use of your hands to massage your face, unfurrow your brow and relax your jaw. Face exercises can reduce stress, relieve tension and improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Regardless of how many squints, squeezes or puckers you do, facial exercises won’t counteract sagging skin. They can’t undo sun damage. Also, you can’t build up more collagen with exercise, unlike building muscle tone in other areas. Put quite simply, loss of collagen leads to loss of firmness, and because facial exercises won’t produce more collagen, they won’t work to firm your skin.

Scrunch up your whole face for a few seconds so that your nose is wrinkled, your forehead furrowed, and your eyes and mouth are tightly closed.

Do the opposite. Open your mouth and eyes as wide as you can.
Close your mouth again, purse your lips, and push your mouth up to the left, then push to the right.

Forehead: Place your index fingers just above your eyes and pull down your eyes while raising your eyebrows. This facial exercise firms your forehead. Repeat this exercise for ten times.

Lips: Suck on your finger as hard as possible and slowly remove it. Repeat this exercise for ten times. This facial exercise firms your lips.

a) Turn your eyes to the right, and then to the left; roll your eyes up and then down.
b) Look in the mirror and blink, ‘pursing’ your eyes.

To ease wrinkles caused by weary eyes and to relax eyes
a) Face a wall, standing about six feet away so that you can see the entire wall easily. Without moving your head, move your eyes, beginning at the upper right corner of the wall and looking down to the floor, turning left to the lower left corner and then raising the eyes to the upper left corner. Repeat this ten times, starting with the right corner five times.

Forehead exercise

•    First of all, one should frown and bring eyebrows over the eyes with the help of fingers. Pull the eyebrows in this procedure and lift eyebrows during opening the eyes.

•    After first step, one lies on bed comfortably and see ceiling for a few minutes. And then lift eyebrows upward with open eyes. Take rest and do again this activity about 8-10 times.
