Splits ends are mainly caused due to over brushing, excessive use of hot styling tools, prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays, use of cheap styling tools, coloring, perming, towel drying, brushing wet hair, elastic bands and finally lack of hair care and maintenance.

Get Rid of Split Ends

Apart from these causes, another important reason for the growth of split ends is ignoring the significance of trimming. To maintain the beauty and shine of the hair, trimming is important at least once in six weeks or else it will grow to the hair shafts and damage the originality and beauty of the hair.

Split ends should not be left unattended. Some splits can split right up the entire hair shaft or else the split ends themselves will actually split, leaving you with split split ends. Use a clarifying shampoo about once a month…silicone builds up, which you want, because keeps the split ends “bonded” to hair so they can not be seen. Avoid vent brushes with plastic bristles. These can cause further damage by ripping through the hair. On dry hair, use a wide brush with a foam pad that allows more give.

You must cut the tip divided about one inch above the subdivision. When your hair is wet, it can brush. Use a wide-tooth comb when hair is wet to avoid get broken in your hair. When hair is dry, you can paint with a brush, but be sure not to brush, as it would shatter. In addition, when you are in the sun, wear a hat can keep broken away. If it is winter, and then get some hair moistener to help keep your hair from becoming dry, causing broken. You can also use shampoos, which consist mainly of sunscreen in the ingredients. Be sure to get a garnish of your ends every six weeks.

Carefully snip into the twist with sharp scissors. Don’t cut right through; just cut into the thickness to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect.

Be careful to cut roughly the same amount from each twist.

Remember, sometimes the simplest, and least expensive, ideas are the best. So get trimming!

Condition your hair: Dry hair can be benefited greatly by the use of conditioners after shampooing. The outer layers of the hair or cuticles peel away the shaft, resulting in split ends. Conditioner glues these cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents the static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Avoid heat: The heat appliances like blow-dryers, electric irons and curlers damage the hair. Instead of blow-drying the hair, you can pat dry with a towel. Replace electric curlers with unheated plastic rollers that were used in a bygone era. Straighten the hair by wrapping the slightly damp hair around the cold rollers and leave them on for about ten minutes. To curl the hair or give them a wavy appearance, use sponge rollers overnight or sleep with the moist braids.

Chapped lips is a condition whereby the lips become dry and possibly cracked. Chapped lips can be painful, embarrassing, and uncomfortable. Chapped lips are most often caused by being in overly windy, sunny, or dry conditions. Chapped lips can have several causes, including dry weather, overexposure to the sun, lip biting and sucking, riboflavin (vitamin B-2) deficiencies and ill-fitting dentures.

Most people get chapped lips from time to time. Dry, cracked or sore lips can interfere with many daily activities, such as smiling, kissing, eating and talking. Signs and Symptoms of Chapped Lips is dryness ,redness ,tenderness and sensitivity ,cracking, splitting, or peeling and pain.

Chapped Lips Home Remedies

Avoid licking the lips as saliva evaporates quickly resulting in them being drier than before

Take quality nutritional supplements if your body lacks nutrients such as vitamin B1, vitamin B12 and iron

Apply coconut / olive oil or shea butter frequently on your lips

Try a Lip Balm

A good lip balm can help to keep our lips smooth and chap-free. There are many types of lips balms for you to choose from but by and large, it depends on when and under which conditions you want to use them. For example a plan vanilla lip balm will suffices for indoor usage whereas a balm with added sunscreen or sun block is more useful for those who frequently engage in outdoor activities like sailing and swimming.

Limit Lip Licking habits

Skin experts always advise against lip licking as it may cause what they call self-induced lip chapping. By licking your lips more than usual, you are exposing your lips to unnecessary evaporation to the drying wind. Hence,if you want to kick away this habit, you should find a balm with a flavor that you dislike. You will definitely find yourself not licking your chapped lips after that.

Traumatic Lesion Beware of your own teeth as habitual chewing always causes traumatic lip lesions. Another culprit is sucking or licking on the lips. As mentioned above, saliva evaporates and leaves behind dry lips which tend to chap or crack. Causes: Habitual chewing, sucking and licking on lips

Yeast Infections 2 major causes which lead to yeast infections are antibiotic treatment and inappropriate medications which lead to dryness of the mouth. The natural microbial balance is altered and yeast just sneak in. The infections are characterized by chronic fissures, redness and crustiness at the angles of the mouth. Causes: Antibiotic treatment, inappropriate medications

ENERGIZER

Simmer 1 cup honey and 3 cup water together slowly. Allow 1 cup of the water to evaporate. Strain off the top surface, and put the remaining liquid into a stoneware crock or dark bottle. Put a towel over it so it can breathe, yet be free of dirt. Place in a cool place. You can add cinnamon, clove, or the juice of 2 lemons, if you like.Take a glass of grapefruit and lemon juice in equal parts to dispel fatigue and general tiredness after a day’s work.

Still another fascination of women is the use of the makeup. Makeup has been used for several generations to make women look more attractive and appealing to the eye. Beauty products are supposed to enhance your beauty, and yet not every woman is knowledgeable on how to apply them. To help, here are some tips that you should know to learn the basics about putting on makeup.

MAKEUP APPLICATION

The first thing before you apply makeup is to be clean. Have your face washed with your favorite soap and let it dry before application. The problem with not having a clean face may eventually clog your pores. Furthermore, the makeup ingredients will likely blot over and will leave a strange feeling, good hygiene is always a must in beautifying faces.

When starting on the lips, you can just either follow the lip line or ditching the pencil for lining the lips. You can just brush it gently using a lipstick. You can also use a lipstick brush for preference.

When you want the effect of protruding lips, you can make use of your highlighter. You need to concentrate on the important areas such as the sides of your lips, just notice the indentation on the upper lip. In addition, you should notice it on the area between the noses.

Eye Liner: Winter 2008 makeup tips also include eyeliner straight off the catwalk. Try liquid eyeliner for a graphic design or to get that really precise shape. There are new shapes to try this season; blunt edges and square in addition to the traditional “cat eye” swoop and taper tail. If liquid eyeliner isn’t your thing, don’t hesitate to use a powder or pencil liner for a softer line and less edginess. Either way, to perfect this season’s styles invest in eye liner.

To affect a makeover-like change with hair and makeup, consider doing a few things. Change your hairstyle at least once a year (even if only a tiny change) and even consider a little color or highlights to freshen it up (and cover the gray, if applicable).

Also consider adding a new piece of clothing or a new accessory to your wardrobe every single season. Focus on something that’s trendy or current, like a colored leather bag, or a white patent belt. Whatever seems to be the trendy thing for the season, add just a piece to your wardrobe to keep it current.

Finally, pay attention to makeup. Between hair, fashion and makeup, you can look “made over” in just hours, but often we focus on hair and clothing and forget makeup. That’s a common but unfortunate mistake and here’s why - changing the way you apply makeup and the beauty products and supplies you use can provide a significant benefit to you.

Makeup has an incredible way of quickly transforming one’s appearance from featureless to fabulous. Even though some people go overboard, and apply more makeup than needed, there are easy techniques for applying an appropriate amount of makeup that will enhance natural beauty. Between getting ready for work in the mornings, and trying to get the kids ready for school, many women do not have enough time to apply makeup.

The 5 Minute Makeup Application

We must moisturize. Use a moisturizer with an SPF. Try Neutrogena’s Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Day Cream with SPF 20. This will allow you to moisturize while protecting your face from the sun. It also neutralizes 90 percent of free radicals and is dermatologist tested.

Since very few of us get enough sleep, especially new moms, we need to find that do-it-all concealer. The Eve Pearl Concealing Eye Treatment allows you to cover those dark under-eye circles, as well as treat your eyes to a mini makeover with vitamins, minerals, proteins and anti-oxidants. Apply it with your fingers like an eye cream, while concealing the dark circles.

Pick up a bit of mineral foundation with your application brush, and swirl the brush in your foundation lid or a small bowl to distribute the powder.

Tap off the excess powder, and gently brush the foundation over your face. Apply light layers, and then touch up any areas that require a little extra coverage.

Go a head a put a little bit of mascara on. Just be careful not to overdo it. If you get smudges on your eye remove by dabbing a little foundation on a cotton ball and apply softly.

Forget the bright lipstick, stick with a lightly colored gloss. This works wonders.

If you like, dampen a flocked sponge with water, mild toner, or hydrosol, and lightly blend the powder over your face, to help keep the foundation from settling into lines and pores.

Pat on a moisturiser which has two or three drops of foundation cream mixed into it. Always treat foundation like a cream: rub it into your face like a face cream so that it doesn’t look caked.

Once the foundation is on, put two coats of mascara on your lashes. If you don’t wear eye shadow, it is fine. Just team the mascara with a black eye pencil or kajal inside the eye.

Makeup application for photos is slightly different than everyday makeup application. You can wear more neutral colors during the day, but in photos you need to keep the colors slightly bolder. You want your makeup to show up. With these simple makeup tips you can ensure that you look glowing and fabulous in your photos.

Apply Makeup For Photos

Wear dark eyeliner. Typically if you wear brown eyeliner you will want to wear black eyeliner for pictures. While brown eyeliner is perfect for daytime, it doesn’t show up very well in pictures. You want to line your eyes with black eyeliner or black-brown eyeliner. The darker colored eyeliner will show up in the picture.

Use black mascara. The same rule for eyeliner applies to mascara. Brown mascara won’t usually show up in pictures. If it does show up, it will be very subtle and your eyes will more than likely appear to look washed out. This will give the illusion that you aren’t wearing any eye makeup.

The professional makeup artists highly appreciate the healthy, clear and naturally beautiful skin. But if your skin isn’t flawless you will have to use a few makeup products to achieve this. Every makeup artist use a makeup primer / a makeup base/. A good makeup primer will hide imperfections like, large pores, small pimple, skin discolorations, spots, freckles and so on. There are even eyelid primers that conceal the yellowing hints under your eyes.

Minimize Shadows: As photos are two-dimensional, the camera ages subjects by enhancing dark, fine lines and wrinkles. To compensate, gently apply a lighter shade of concealer makeup to darker areas: around the eyes, crevices and expression lines.

Using upward strokes, next apply a light layer of foundation makeup over the face including lips. Blend makeup at the edges. Except for corrective work, use foundation makeup colors closely matching the natural skin color.

When straightening your hair you want to condition it well before starting the straightening process. Use a wide bristled brush and put your blow drier on medium and gently brush your hair as you dry it. If you find that you hair is starting to frizz then finish drying it and apply an anti-frizzing agent or hair balm. To make your hair perfectly straight use a flat iron or run a curling iron down your hair and straighten the hair in sections. Use a finishing spray to keep the hair in place and it should be ready for a perfect photo experience.

Choose Correct Shades. Your concealer and foundation should perfectly match the undertone of your skin, whether that be red, yellow, or neutral. I have neutral undertones, so when I chose a base that is either too red or too yellow, it definitely shows under the camera flash. You can go to a makeup counter where they can color-match your skin for free. Also, your concealer should be one shade lighter than your skintone to mask dark circles.

Accentuate Your Best Feature. Be sure to really play up the eyes or lips (but not both). If you have big, beautiful eyes, accentuate them by applying generous amounts of mascara and contouring the crease with a dark eyeshadow. If you have luscious lips, layer gloss on top of lipstick for lush, long-lasting color. If you’re doing dramatic eyes, choose a neutral lip shade such as nude or mauve. If you’re going for bold lips, don’t go overboard on the eyes.

These tips are particularly helpful if you are a bride who decides to do your own makeup or if you have any other special occasion such as a wedding, graduation, reunion, or whatever, where you will not have a professional makeup artist there to ensure that you are photo-ready.

Shoemaker explains, for example, that any foundation with titanium dioxide — a commonly used sunscreen — should be avoided when taking flash pictures. Since the titanium dioxide works to shield the skin by reflecting light, the resulting effect is that your face takes on a washed-out, mask-like appearance in the finished picture.

Black is beautiful and how! Black hair has mesmerized people for years and one has seen black hair oozing charm when sleek, straight, braided or when long and curly. Black hair is also beautiful when worn long, short or cropped and people who are not naturally blessed with black hair go to the extent of using black hair color to achieve the look! But natural black hair also needs extra care and styling. Need some tips on black hair care? Simply read on!

Tips on black hair caring

Hair need to be strong and healthy to take any type of chemical treatment. To check hair strength and natural elasticity, pluck out a hair and hold it firmly between both hands, then pull gently. If the hair breaks with hardly any stretching, it is in week and poor condition, in which all chemical treatments should be avoided.

One of the most effective ways of styling very curly hair is to crop it close and short. With this type of cut you just need to shampoo, condition and finish it with soft wax.

Massage the scalp regularly to encourage oil production.

If you use hot combs or curling tongs, make sure you shield the hair by using a protective product.

Gels are good for moulding black hair into shape; choose non-greasy formulas that give hair a healthy sheen.

If you use hot combs or curling tongs, make sure you shield the hair by using a protective product.

For extra hold and added shine use a finishing spray.

Braided black hair needs a softening shampoo that maintains the moisture balance and helps eliminate a dry scalp.

For Dry Hair

Hair normally has a moisture content of approximately 10%. If your hair’s moisture content drops below this level, you need to increase the hair’s ability to attract and retain moisture. This is accomplished by using moisturizers. The best ones have “humectants” like the ones found in “The Best Moisturizing Shampoo” and “The Best Moisturizing Conditioner” that not only replace lost moisture but actually attract moisture and retain it in the cortex of the hair. Essential fatty aids (EFA’s) are also great moisturizers.

Mineral Oil based products Lubricate hair and scalp … no conditioning or moisturizing occurs!
What damages the hair the most is chemicals from perms, relaxers and dyes. And, of course, constant heat drys out moisture from hair, then heat damage can occur much easier. That is why only natural oils that actually can penetrate into hair shaft, can remoisturize and protect against heat damage. Moisturize your hair and scalp. DO NOT LUBRICATE!

NEVER USE Oil Based Shampoo: Shampoo having oils is not good for your black hair. It will give a residue build up and work against any cleaning action a shampoo might have and leave a mix of dirt and oil on scalp and a residue film on the hair….oil free is the best.

Your hands are as obvious as any part of your body; you use them to emphasize points in a conversation and to do daily tasks, therefore they should look as well groomed as the rest of you. A good manicure is important to your appearance. Whether or not you use polish, your nails should be conservative, healthy, and always well manicured. To keep your hands attractive give yourself a weekly manicure.

WHY WE LOVE IT

Well, it’s perfectly natural to want to look good and our hands are one of the first thing people see when they meet us. First impressions are everything!

Plus, there is nothing like the feeling of stepping out of a salon, whether you were pampered with a facial, a new haircut, or a manicure. Time is precious, though, and we don’t always have that extra hour to devote to beauty – at least not during business hours.

Remove all nail polish from your fingernails using nail polish remover.

Soak your fingers in a dish of warm soapy water for about 10 minutes. For a gentle hand soap soak, see recipe below.

Use a gentle nail brush and clean under your nails.

Begin filing your nails gently with the nail file. Make sure that you move in one direction. Moving in both directions causes the tips of nails to fray. Move your hand in a dipping motion, scraping lightly off of the nail before moving your hand up again. Be careful not to file away skin, or file nails too close to the bone. Stop when edges are smooth and nicely rimming the skin of your fingers. Filing may take some time, but don’t fret. Enjoy the feeling it leaves in your fingers.

Remove your nails from the water or milk and dry them off. Rub them with a rich moisturizer, like Eucerin. Push back your cuticles gently with your fingernail or an orange stick.

Apply a nail polish color of your choice (before applying nail polish be sure that all lotion has been removed from your nail, or else the polish will not stick well). Then, apply a clear top coat for that extra shine and extra protection against chipping.

Before color is applied to nails, they must be cleaned and the easiest way to do this is with an orange stick that has been wrapped with cotton. Dip into nail polish remover and then rub over the surface of the nail. Check the nail for any creamy residue. When none remains, your nails will be ready for polishing.

Time for color. Pick up a small amount of polish on your brush and paint one stroke down the center of your nail. Your brush should hold just enough color to accomplish this. Stroke the sides of the nail and you are done. The nail should be completely colored in three strokes. Allow to set for a minute or so before applying the second coat.

Applying the Color

The best part!

Apply the polish in the same manner as the bottom coat. Don’t drag over the edge, as it will paint your fingers and get stuck under the nail, which leads to a sloppy finish. Just make some nice, straight, short strokes. Try not to overlap too much as to avoid uneveness in texture and color. Depending on how strong you want the color to be, you may apply 1-4 layers. This also depends on the nail polish itself. You can apply layers in quick succession if you keep the fan running close to your hands, but not in the way of application.

Waves and ringlets were seen all over the fall fashion show run-away, but that?s not the only reason to go a natural. Pulling on your hair with a brush, blow-drying it, and using a flatiron to straighten curls can cause split ends, excess dryness, frizz ness, and breakage. ight loss diet pills, rapid weight loss diet pills.

Avoid shampoos that contain sodium laurel sulfate, or sodium laureth sulfate. These chemicals are synthetic detergents that are used in dishwashing liquid and other cleansers. They are valued because they lather well, but they are very harsh, and can dry out your hair. Instead, look for shampoos made with decyl glucose, or decyl glucoside, cleansers which are much gentler.

Give yourself a hot oil treatment to deep condition your hair. Warm oil penetrates the hair shaft making the hair more flexible and giving it shine. This can also help to prevent split ends which result from dry hair. You can make a simple hot oil treatment by warming up a natural vegetable oil such as jojoba oil. Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax that comes from a desert plant. It has a chemical makeup similar to the sebum produced by human skin. This quality makes it an excellent choice for natural hair care.

Tips Before Coloring

Before colouring:

The best matter you will make is to lap your hair with a best form of shampoo for you to take pollutants of your hair. Do non work conditioner or shampoo/conditioner mixtures free in only bottle. Conditioner will intervene with the dye soldering to your hair. If your scalp is small and sensitive or your hair damaged or solid, hold about a daytime after laping to bleach or take lasting dye.

No-fuss Styling Tips for Beautiful Hair

Spray Away. You can color, perm, or style your hair any way you like. Just wait until Women’s ROGAINE® is dry (to let your scalp absorb it) before using your hairspray, spritz, or other styling aids. (Put on your makeup while ROGAINE® is drying, and you won’t waste a minute!) And be sure to apply the styling aids to your hair and not your scalp, so they don’t interfere with the ROGAINE® being fully absorbed.

Brunette Hair Care Tips

Use a good daily shampoo and conditioner, preferably the one that your stylist recommends. Professional shampoos and conditioners are designed to clean, protect, strengthen, nourish, and revitalize your hair, without weighing it down, and come in a variety of formulas. Ask your trusted stylist which ones are right for you.

Dont over lighten. Many brunettes think that excessive lightening is a good idea, but the reality is that the darker your hair is, the darker your blonde highlights should be. The idea is to provide a complement or contrast with your natural hair color-not clash outright.

The problem of frizzy hair is something that majority of the females have to face, especially those with curly hair. It is basically the dehydrated cortex (the inner layer of the hair shaft) that causes the problem of frizzy hair. This dehydration can be result of a number of activities - frequent perming, excessive use of styling products, regular usage of bleach or color, taking a poor diet, brushing wet hair, excessive exposure to the sun, and so on. Whatever be the reason, frizzy hair looks very bad and can easily mar you appearance.

What about the frizz? How can you minimize frizzing in permed hair? The first step is to condition your hair well before perming. You cannot do this right before you have the perm but getting your hair in good condition to be permed is an excellent first step for frizz prevention. If your hair is nourished before you perm it you have a better chance of getting the soft, smooth curling results you want. The next step comes after the perm. Most hair stylists recommend not washing your hair for 48 hours after the perm because the shampoo can interfere with the chemical process; you need to give your hair time to adjust and absorb the chemicals that give you the permanent curl.

Oils and creams on the market designed to reduce frizz infuse the hair with a little bit of weight and close the cuticle, creating a smoother appearance. Gloss treatments in the salon, which are similar to applying color to the hair, but without the hue, also serve the same purpose, as they provide extra weight and shine. A shot of cold air can also help close the cuticle, says Claude, and reducing frizz can be as easy as working cool air and a brush through your hair.

Look for frizz-control shampoos and conditioners. The conditioner should be a 2-to-5 minute daily use treatment that you leave in for a few minutes and then rinse out. Just before rinsing, run a wide-toothed comb through hair, getting out the worst of the knots.

Shampoo less. Use small amounts of conditioner instead and rinse hair well. You should notice a difference in a few days. Do watch out for shampoos that gives you suds beautifully because it uses harsh ingredients that will strip your hair of moisture and the added dryness causes frizzies.

Naturally gorgeous’ chocolate goes on sale in the UK, for the first time, exclusively at Selfridges. Naturally gorgeous’ chocolate keeps you ‘fuller for longer’ whilst being a premium, exquisite and heavenly indulgence.

A miracle cure for chocoholics and chocolate fans ‘naturally gorgeous’ is perfect for people who want to control their intake of calories without sacrificing taste.

Improving your skin and giving your body a vibrant, healthy glow from the inside out will make you look younger, which means you will be more attractive; you will look gorgeous and feel fantastic. This is the closest you’ll come to a real “fountain of youth”.

Lose weight and keep it off naturally – which means you’ll never have to waste time and money going on a diet again. Discover the sneaky trick that fad diets and weight loss programs use to cause you to keep packing on the pounds.

ALTERNATE COLD AND HOT WATER in the shower to boost your circulation, promote detoxification and strengthen your immune system. Contrast two to three minutes of hot(not scalding) water followed by less than one minute of cold water for maximum results.

REVIVE YOUR HANDS with mashed potato with milk (cow’s or soya) - it makes a great hand mask. Leave for two to three minutes then rinse and dry your hands.

FOR STRONG NAILS, supplement your diet with wild seaweed - it contains more vitamins and minerals than any other food.

SAVE YOUR HAIR COLOUR if you swim a lot, by squirting a generous amount of tomato ketchup on to your hair before you wash it. Work it in with your fingers or a wide-toothed comb, leave for at least 20 minutes then shampoo and rinse with cold water.

Rejuvenate

You can create a spa inside your own bathroom.
Add a few drops of any scented oil you like to a tub of water. For soft moisturised happy skin, add a cup of milk to it. Now play soft music, light candles and take a long soak-it helps!
You will definitely thank me for this one. It relaxes your mind and body, which obviously shows on your skin. Plus you will end up smelling good. A happy relaxed mind will help you think and work better too.

Simple Tips To Gorgeous, Silky Hair

First, we have to help you avoid actually damaging it. The first thing you need to avoid is using a brush on it while it is still wet. When it’s wet, it isn’t as strong as when it is dry, and a brush is too rough for it to handle, and will only cause damage that will show up later. When detangling your wet hair, stick with a nice, wide-tooth comb – this is much easier on your hair. Also use a good leave-in conditioner, to help make it a little more durable.

Everyone knows that using a blow dryer on your hair is a great way to damage it. Unfortunately though, the ease and convenience it brings not only time-wise, but for styling makes it a necessity to have. To minimize the damage it does though, use the “cool” setting, and make sure not to dry your hair completely. Leave a little bit of moisture in your lovely locks.
