Internet

A global network connecting millions of computers. More than 100 countries are linked into exchanges of data, news and opinions. Unlike online services, which are centrally controlled, the Internet is decentralized by design. Each Internet computer, called a host, is independent.

The IETF Standards Process

The basic definition of the IETF standards process is in RFC 2026 (BCP 9). However, this document has been amended several times. The intellectual property rules are now separate, in BCP 78 (rights in contributions) and BCP 79 (rights in technology). Another update is BCP 92 (independent submissions to the RFC Editor). An overview of many process documents is available here.

Internet Radio

Internet radio (also known as web radio, net radio, streaming radio and e-radio) is an audio broadcasting service transmitted via the Internet. Broadcasting on the Internet is usually referred to as webcasting since it is not transmitted broadly through wireless means.
